Event Log
The Event Log keeps track of wake-ups, shut-downs, and exceptions. While the main program is running, it will also track when a host comes online or goes offline. Scheduled-tasks are also recorded in the event log, however, the task scheduler does not (yet) track when hosts actually boot up or shut down.
The Event Viewer has several useful features.
- You can click the buttons to show or hide Errors, Warnings, and information Messages.
- You can search for events using by typing text in the “Find” box.
- While the window is open, it will show new events in real-time.
The AquilaWOL event log uses the Windows event log. You can use the Windows Event Viewer as well as the AquilaWOL Event Log functions. You will find your events in the Application log under the source “WakeOnLan”.
